Momiji Restaurant, Washington, DC

I went to Momiji Restaurant in China Town before a Caps game.  I meet up with two friends.  We picked the location because it was close to the Verizon Center, its located on 505 H Street NW in Washington, DC.   They have a happy hour during the weekdays.  My friends got a few of the happy hour special.
There is nothing fancy about Momijis, but the sushi is good.  I think some of the other DC restuarants try and be too fancy, but this place just has nice basic sushi.  I wasn’t terribly hungry; all I got was two pieces of salmon and a Sunny Girl Roll.  Sunny Girl Roll was salmon tempura with salmon on the outside and spicy mayo and eel sauce drizzled on top.  It was delicious.  The salmon nigiri was good too.
For a DC location the prices are very reasonable.  I’ll definitely add it to the list of places to go if I want sushi and I’m in the DC area.  My friend went upstairs to use the restroom and he said they had a whole different seating area.  He said it was filled with Caps fans.
